Terms of Service & Privacy

The terms that come with your ExitSight subscription, and what the service does — and doesn't do — with your data.

Important notice

ExitSight is a calculation tool, not an appraisal. The analyses, assumptions, factor scores, and conclusions in any worksheet or report are those of the person who prepared them, and results depend entirely on the inputs provided. ExitSight and its publisher express no opinion on the value of any business.

Privacy

ExitSight is a hosted service: your engagements are stored on servers operated by Paragraph LLC and hosted by Hetzner in Finland, encrypted at rest, and backed up in encrypted form. We collect the account details needed to run the service (your name, email address, and billing status) and the engagement data you enter. We never sell or share your data, and it is used only to provide the service to you. You can export any engagement as an .esv file or a PDF report at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything in it; deletion is completed within 30 days. Share links you create are public to anyone who has the link until you revoke them. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch ExitSight.

Terms of Service

1. Subscription and account

ExitSight is sold as a subscription, billed monthly or annually, that renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charges are made. If ExitSight is not what you needed, write to us within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. Each subscription is for one named user and may not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.

2. Permitted use and restrictions

Subject to these terms, you may use ExitSight for your internal business purposes and for engagements you perform for clients. Reports and files you produce with the service are yours. You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or provide access to the service to anyone else; reverse engineer it except where law permits; interfere with its operation; or extract and redistribute the market data as a standalone dataset.

3. Not professional advice

The service performs calculations from figures and judgments you supply. It is not an appraisal, and its output is not legal, tax, investment, or valuation advice. Engagements requiring a certified appraisal or a professional opinion of value require a qualified professional exercising their own judgment.

4. Market data

The multiples and reference data in ExitSight are aggregated from cited third-party sources, provided as-is for reference, and refreshed quarterly. Figures may be revised as sources are updated. Verify figures material to an engagement against primary sources.

5. Your data

Engagement data you enter is stored encrypted at rest on servers operated by Paragraph LLC and hosted by Hetzner in Finland. Backups are encrypted. We never sell or share your data, and we access it only to operate the service, to support you at your request, or as required by law. You can export any engagement as an .esv file or a PDF report at any time. On request we delete your account and all of its data within 30 days. Share links you create are public to anyone who has the link until you revoke them.

6. Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of providers to run the service: Hetzner for hosting, Stripe for payments (your card details are collected and stored by Stripe and never touch ExitSight), and Resend for transactional email such as receipts and password resets. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service to us.

7. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. Your exclusive remedy for any defect is, at the publisher’s option, correction of the defect or a refund of fees paid for the affected period.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher’s total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim, and the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including decisions made in reliance on the service’s output or loss of data you have not exported.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms and the service itself; material changes to the terms are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date is acceptance. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 90 days’ notice and keep export available throughout that period.
